I’ll admit, in the midst of enjoying Mothers Day, I always have a soft spot in my heart for those who have lost their mommas and for those who want to be mommas and haven’t been able to have children. I also have a tender place in my heart for those who have never had a relationship with their mothers. I haven’t been in any of those places, but my heart goes out to those who are there.
As a mother, I haven’t been spared pain, nor have I been spared joy. Through my losses, I have suffered and I have gained. Through my joys I have rejoiced and I have grown. I am thankful for both.
As a daughter, I am thankful. I acknowledge the great blessing I’ve been given in my mother. From her I learned to sacrifice… I learned to be joyful in all things… I learned to encourage… and most importantly, I learned to love. I’ve had a good teacher and my goal has always been to pass on those same things to my children.
I went to lunch with my girls and then to a thrift store! My favorite place to shop! (It goes so much further there, and I find more unique things!)
Jared was interviewed in this edition of Home Educating Family! I’m so proud of him. You can’t read the article in the magazine unless you subscribe to it, however, the same interview has also been published on an online publication called, Generation Impact, and you can read it there!
