I was honored to be asked to speak at an event in Hunt Texas this past weekend. It was a very special speaking engagement.

I was so pleased to be able to take Abigail with me. Made the trip to San Antonio much more fun!
The clouds were BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL!

I got this picture of Abigail while she was waiting on her Starbucks in the Dallas/Ft. Worth airport – and didn’t even notice this man until we looked at the picture when we got home. Good thing I got her out of there! ha!!

We were supposed to fly in at 3:00 pm. Due to delay after delay (and a broken door handle on the plan), we didn’t get there until 7:45!

And this is the precious and patient Tisha who waited and waited for us! She said, “No problem! I can always shop!” Her cheerful attitude made me stress less about it!

And THIS is the gorgeous ranch we were so blessed to visit. Talk about beautiful! Wow!
Abigail and I went for a nature walk and saw some wild life – like this deer. We actually saw three, but the other two ran off before we got pictures. By the way, I had never seen a Jack Rabbit! They’re huge and have weirdly tall ears!!

Abigail wanted to pet a horse, so she walked over and did just that.

Oh and did I mention… something dreadful escaped the lounging horse! ha! Sounded pretty hilarious (and sent us running! Ew!)

I couldn’t help taking pictures of…

Abigail’s Converse next to some Cacti or Cactuses or whatever you call them in Texas. Just seemed funny to me for some reason. It would have looked more natural with cowboy boots, but I don’t think Abigail’s worn cowboy boots – EVER!

There are more important things to share about the trip, but I thought I’d start with this and share more when I have my hands on some pictures that will help tell the story. I missed blogging this past week but I was busy preparing and just sort of ran out of gumption.

Hope your weekend was great! Part 2 of the trip coming soon!
Love,
Lynnette
