We enjoyed a perfectly lovely Easter Service at church with our very special church family. A communion service with beautiful music, a yummy meal and sweet fellowship.
Sunday afternoon Naps.
and finally…
a Resurrection Egg Hunt in the backyard!

Do you think Harrison has trouble expressing himself? ha!

My nephew, Caleb joined us for our hunt.

Jared and Abigail didn’t hunt but enjoyed watching the rest of the family. (and Abigail helped me hide them!)
Almost all have been found.
Harrison’s counting to see how many more we need.

After they were all found, we went to the dining room table to open them all… one at a time!

And of course the last egg was empty! We let Harry open that one!

Kyle said, “Empty! Why is it empty Harry?”

The story of the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ! All wrapped up in…
an Egg Carton.

Love the chicken picture! Might have to print that one off and hang it in my kitchen I love it so much! LOL
Let me know if you want a chicken picture. I’ll set you up!
I do! I do! LOL I’ll frame it up for my “new” kitchen, when I finally get a new kitchen that is…lol
Ha! I look like a total nerd in that pic of Jared and I…Classic. XD It was an awesome day…verging on perfect. Praise God!

Looks and sounds like a great day. How did you end up with Caleb? Looks like he was enjoying his time with the Krafts! (:>)
Lonna and the kids (minus Will) came to church. It was fun having them! We went and picked Caleb up later to practice some songs with Jared. We had a great day! I called you twice earlier but couldn’t get you (I got your message though). We’ll talk tomorrow.
Love you.

Looks like fun! We do the Resurrection eggs at our house, too. Love how they help us tell the story to young and old alike. =)
Happy Easter!

The chicken is great! Our little family have been doing the eggs one at a time this pass month with our 3.5 yr old. I like what you guys did when you have a group looking for them.
I hope you had a wonderful Easter!
Love,
Lynnette
I have heard so much about the resurrection eggs but this post is the best application of the idea. I can’t wait to have the Easter egg hunt (in this fashion) next year. Thank you for the inspiration. It is such an incredible way to incorporate the very real meaning of Easter!!!
Ps. Your pictures reflect the love, thought, and care you put in your hunt. Loved this post!

Just loved looking at these pictures. Such fun-it hailed the size of eggs, and golf balls and baseballs-crazy! Then it stormed so we only got to color eggs and we didn’t get to hunt our eggs-later this week I guess. But we still had a great time. Praying for you, hope that you are feeling well (or maybe not if that is better :0 ) anyways, praying for God’s protection over this new precious life growing in you. I would so love to have another as well, but I think we are done, my husband says one of them has to be the last.
Have a blessed Monday. Brandon is doing ok by the way, fell at the play ground Friday and got a huge goose egg on his head, in the spirit of the holiday. lol So he didn’t want me to take pictures-I said that wouldn’t be possible, that he had an egg on his head and was different and unique I said we could decorate it. So a few minutes later he came into my room where he drew on his bump on his head with markers and made it look like an Easter Egg-really funny!! We go in June to see what we need to do about the new cyst that has grown back, possibly surgery this summer again and maybe 2 more after that. I am still just praying for healing. Thanks for asking.
Hugs-Happy Monday-Love ya

Beautiful photo’s !
How are you and baby #10 ?
I have thought about you all weekend, keeping you and baby in my prayers.
Lynette,
These are so great! I especially like the one with Cecily smiling at her dad! Looks like wonderful memories in the making!
Abigail, that is a *cute* picture of you!!! very fun
Beautiful photography. I especially liked the dark one with the egss on a piece of board, but so bright, the contrast was so nice.
